I do this, too! I tuck small bits of trash in my pockets as I walk, too, thinking I should remember to bring a bag... You say it so beautifully:

"I’ve become accustomed to clearing

obstacles, trained the impulse in me

that loves beauty."

Yes! Long may we do this!

Taylor and I say this all the time, remember to bring a bag. Bless you for tending to your corner of the world <3

Beautiful. I do this too, Moudi--although I've never thought much about it. I clean up after other peoples' dogs, too.... I never have thought of it as "tending the world." Now I will. Thank you!

well praise all the world tenders. And praise that you clean up after other dogs, a true bodhisattva!

Thank you, Moudi. I'm always stunned that an owner can leave their dog's mess in the middle of the sidewalk. I mean, really?

Moudi. May we all have such thoughtful, and life sustaining natural instincts. These acts of kindness we do for ourselves and it’s important never to expect anything in return. Other than the sheer joy of being able to act authentically.

I hadn’t thought of how poetry witnesses us. Yet, how could it be otherwise? Thank you for your service and sharing. It means so very much.

All in witness of each other. Thank you dear friend for reading <3 This too means so very much.

Thus it is! I think of the Heart Sutra whenever "thus" enters into the conversation
